If you've ever been fortunate enough to attend San Diego Comic-Con, then you know how hard it can be to keep track of all the little goings-on sprinkled here and there. I certainly wouldn't blame anyone for missing Bandai Entertainment's announcements, for example, as they brought some new license acquisitions into the spotlight.
Chief among them is Turn A Gundam, the 1999 series directed by none other than original Gundam creator Yoshiyuki Tomino. I remember the clash amongst fans over the unique designs by Blade Runner's Syd Mead, and it still might be a love it or hate it look. (I'd say I fall into the former category, for what it's worth.)
In addition, Bandai has acquired Tales of the Abyss, a 26-episode series based on Namco Bandai's long-running Tales RPG franchise.

I am so happy they're at long last bringing over one of the old gundam series to the US and on top of that it's Turn A Gundam. Now lets hope they bring over Gundam X in about 5 years.
