Namco Bandai Games made an official announcement recently regarding their upcoming release of Dragon Ball Z for Kinect. The motion-control fighter will include the Dragon Ball Z anime special Dragon Ball: Episode of Bardock, as well as Bardock as a playable character.
For those who haven't seen it, Dragon Ball Z for Kinect lets players duke it out using Xbox 360's Kinect motion sensor, so, barring any technical difficulties, one could theoretically pull off the motions for a kamehameha and have their on-screen character unleash the blast against their enemy. Kinect is kind of hit or miss, functionally speaking, but hopefully it works well here.
Episode of Bardock is based on the short manga spin-off by Nano Ōishi, which was also inspired by 1990's Dragon Ball Z TV special Bardock: The Father of Goku. The special originally premiered in December, 2011. Dragon Ball Z for Kinect—developed by Spike Chunsoft—hits Xbox 360 in North America on October 9.
