The Fairy Tail anime is scheduled to come to an end on March 30 with the airing of episode 175, but it's not disappearing completely from the airwaves. Reruns of the series are set to kick off on April 4 with Fairy Tail Best, which will air every Thursday in Japan at 5:30 pm. However, that might not be all that's in store for the series, if manga creator Hiro Mashima's recent message to fans is any indication.
"It's actually not over yet. I can't say more than this, but I hope you watch the rerun starting in April and wait for the day I can announce some good news," Mashima said, adding in English, "Anime is not the end. Don't stop believing."
After the initial announcement of the anime's broadcast run coming to an end, Mashima said, "Until the time comes, I cannot say something I've always wanted to say, even on Twitter. Please be patient and wait until the time comes for me to announce some good news."
Okay, we'll wait! It sounds like that's about all we can do until Hiro Mashima can finally let the cat out of the bag.

I can't believe they're canceling Fairy Tail! It's my favorite anime ever! But at least there's gonna be a rerun! :D

Reruns are probably better than fillers that a lot of people will just gripe about.
