Mangaka on Tokyo's Proposed Virtual Child Porn Ban

Legislation has been proposed in Metropolitan Tokyo to restrict sexually provocative "visual depictions" of characters who sound or appear to be minors under the age of 18.
Obviously, this has been a hot issue of late in a variety of ways, but not everyone is keen on what such a restriction entails, chief among those a slew of manga creators and others in related fields.
Ashita no Joe's Tetsuya Chiba and Lady Ann's Machiko Satonaka were but two of many that held a press conference on Monday in vocal opposition of the legislature. Beyond those present, a statement provided a list naming more creators who opposed the measure, from Doraemon's Fujiko Fujio A to companies like Kodansha and Shueisha.

its about damn time. the shit i see in tokyo and especially akiba for that matter is digusting, and westerners are obviously NOT the only ones digusted by this shit.
