If you've read any of Vertical's publication of Osamu Tezuka's
Buddha manga, you know it's absolutely worthy of the "epic tale" category.
Despite its sprawling nature, Buddha is something that could work really well in animated form if handled with care, and Warner Bros. have posted a peek at the upcoming anime adaptation, the first part of a Buddha trilogy.
The Toei Animation-produced Tezuka Osamu no Buddha -Akai Sabaku yo! Utsukushiku opens in Japanese theaters on May 5, 2011. Check out the teaser at the link below.
