Deadman Wonderland is set to conclude on Cartoon Network's Toonami block on August 12, but they've already got a replacement lined up for the slot. The 2004 anime Samurai 7 will slide in comfortably the following week at 12:30am.
The Gonzo-produced series puts a sci-fi spin on Akira Kurosawa's legendary 1954 film Seven Samurai. It may not be as sparkling new as something like Deadman Wonderland, which aired in Japan from April-July 2011, but it's an interesting addition nonetheless.
Deadman Wonderland hits DVD on October 9 courtesy of FUNimation.
