The world of direct-to-video tokusatsu (special effects) shows is an interesting one, to say the least. It's from that universe that
Jikuu Keisatsu Wecker originated, making unfamiliarity with its premise, and its very existence, entirely forgivable. The gist of
Wecker involves a group of heroines working with an investigator to fend off time criminals. What more could one possibly need to know?
Wecker has also seen some air time, and now fans are getting a feature. Directed by Kazuya Hatazawa, and starring Sanshiro Wada as 22nd century time detective Koushiro Orio, Time Evolution Tactics: Hyperion finds a team of four women joining Orio and eventually going up against a rival time detective.
