The Spring 2019 anime season is right around the corner, so it’s time to tally the numbers on the hype machine and see which shows come out on top. The first few entries are probably a no-brainer regardless of where you hail from, but KADOKAWA group’s GZ Brain recently conducted some research to determine Japanese fans’ most anticipated TV anime of the upcoming season.
A total of 18,270 people—9,645 men and 8,625 women between 5 and 69 years old—across 47 prefectures took part in the study. Here’s how their top 20 shook out for shows kicking off in April:
