Cowboy Bebop Writer, Character and Mechanical Designers to Visit New York Comic Con

Cowboy Bebop Writer, Character and Mechanical Designers to Visit New York Comic ConAs folks who read our Cowboy Bebop cafe piece (or, you know, those who can do basic math) know, the classic anime series turns 20 years old this year.

If you couldn’t make it out to Japan for the Bebop cafe, good news: Bebop is coming to America. Or some of the people behind it, anyway.

Screenwriter Keiko Nobumoto, character designer Toshihiro Kawamoto and mechanical designer Kimitoshi Yamane are all headed to New York Comic Con to celebrate 20 years of Bebop, and will appear at a panel about the series.

They’re making the trip thanks to Funimation, who are also hosting a chance to win a night out with the three Bebop albums. Fans who’ve pre-ordered Funimation’s 20th anniversary edition of the series and are planning to attend NYCC can enter to have dinner with the trio on this site.

In addition to Cowboy Bebop, Nobumoto has also written scripts for series like Wolf’s Rain and Space Dandy.

Character designer Kawamoto has contributed character designs to series such as Wolf’s Rain and Blood Blockade Battlefront.

Mechanical designer Yamane has designed mechanical things for Escaflowne: The Movie, Gundam Seed and more.

Who wouldn’t want to have dinner and jam with these three legends?
