It’s been 15 years since Tai and his friends spent their summer vacation in the Digital World. Digimon Adventure is celebrating its 15th anniversary by returning to its roots.
A teaser trailer released earlier this week revealed that there will be a new show or special featuring the Digidestined from the original 1999 TV anime. The trailer reveals that this new adventure takes place when Tai is a 17-year-old high schooler. Look forward to watching this in spring of next year.
The anniversary project also includes brand new Digimon: Adventure Blu-ray box sets. A collection of the films and shorts will be released in Japan on January 9, 2015. A set of the television show episodes featuring a Digimon drama CD will come out a few months later on March 3, 2015. It’s going to be a great year for longtime Digimon fans out there.
