FUNimation Adds Hosoda’s The Boy and the Beast Anime Film

FUNimation kicked off the weekend by announcing its acquisition of The Boy and the Beast, the latest anime film from acclaimed director Mamoru Hosoda (Wolf Children, Summer Wars). In an agreement with Gaumont International, FUNimation landed exclusive rights to theatrical, digital, and home video distribution.

The Boy and the Beast will make its way to select theaters across the U.S. starting in late 2015, with a nationwide expansion planned for early 2016.
