Get Ready for Crunchyroll’s Third Global Shinkai Day

This coming weekend marks a very special event coming from the folks at Crunchyroll. It is, for those of you just joining the festivities, the “Third Annual Global Shinkai Day.”

So what does that mean? It means from March 11-13 Crunchyroll will be streaming three works from acclaimed director Makoto Shinkai‘s filmography, namely 5 Centimeters Per Second, The Place Promised in Our Early Days and Voices of a Distant Star.

You’ll be able to dig into this special event either via Crunchyroll’s site, tv.com, the free iPad and iPhone app, Android, Boxee and affiliate partners.
