Get Ready for More The Silver Guardian Anime

For those who enjoyed the Chinese-Japanese anime co-production The Silver Guardian, there’s officially more on the way. The Haoliners Emon project, which adapts Chinese webcomic Yín Zhī Shǒu Mù Rén, has been green-lit for a second season, and it’s set to make its debut in January 2018.

Crunchyroll and Funimation streamed the first season as it aired, and it just came to an end this past weekend. More information on the new season will be coming via the series’ official website.

Here’s the anime’s synopsis, via Crunchyroll:

The protagonist, Riku Suigin is a pro-level gamer. The heroine, Riku Rei, knows of this and is the most beautiful girl in school and also loves video games. Suigin receives a device to play a net game called “Grave Buster” from Rei, but Rei is suddenly kidnapped. When Rei puts his hand on the device, he’s sucked into the world of the game. And in that world, a battle between the tomb raiders and tomb protectors for the tomb of the mother goddess Bango’s tomb has been going on for 1000 years.
