Excepting series with fantasy or sci-fi settings, etc., it’s fair to say the majority of anime is set in Japan and populated by Japanese characters.

But every so often, these Japan-set anime throw a character from abroad into the mix. In the latest poll from Charapedia, Japanese fans rank their favorites.
