Last Period -Owarinaki Rasen no Monogatari- (A Story of Endless Spirals) is a new TV anime based on a mobile fantasy RPG by Happy Elements. The story follows a group of adventurers who find themselves doing more penny pinching than monster fighting, and it’s officially set for an April 11 broadcast debut on Tokyo MX in Japan.
ABC (Asahi Broadcasting Company) will follow shortly after, and BS11 will kick off its broadcast of the series on April 12.
The aforementioned penny pinching comes about as a result of a mysterious theft that puts the 8th chapter of Periods—adventurers who fight monsters known as Spirals—into bankruptcy. Thus, apprentice Haru and the rest of his crew resort to diving into shady business matters in place of monster battles.
Yoshiaki Iwasaki is directing Last Period at anime studio J.C. Staff (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?).
