Latest Takeshi Koike Lupin Joint, Fujiko Mine’s Lie, Hits Japan in MayThe last few years, running on a parallel track to the “regular” Lupin series and specials has been Lupin the IIIrd, a series of movie/OVA thingers helmed by Takeshi Koike, one of the coolest animators in Japan.

Now we’ve got some details on the latest in the Lupin the IIIrd series, Fujiko Mine’s Lie.

The previous two entries in the franchise centered around Lupin’s sidekicks Jigen and Goemon, respectively. This time it’s his long-time love interest, also the star of The Woman Called Fujiko Mine, which Koike worked on.

Fujiko Mine’s Lie is set to hit Japanese theaters for a limited time May 31. Aside from direction, Koike will provide character designs, while the script will be written by Yuya Takahashi.
