Magi Spinoff Anime Premieres April 15

Eight volumes in and Yoshifumi Ohtera’s Magi spinoff manga Magi: Adventure of Sinbad is going strong, and the anime adaptation now has a premiere date. The series will debut in Japan on MBS, TBS, CBC, and BS-TBS on April 15, with Daisuke Ono returning from the OVAs to voice the lead.

Adventure of Sinbad‘s opening theme will be Penguin Research’s “Spotlight,” and the ending theme will be Fujifabric’s “Polaris.”

The story of the spinoff is set 30 years before the original Magi series. Ohtera’s manga is currently running on Shogakukan’s webcomic site Ura Sunday.
