Makoto Shinkai Short She and Her Cat Expanded to TV Anime

Makoto Shinkai independently released a five-minute anime short titled She and Her Cat back in 1999, and now it’s returning as a TV anime. Kanojo to Kanojo no neko -Everything Flows- is coming to the Ultra Super Anime Time block on Tokyo MX and BS11, with a broadcast date set for this March.

This version of She and Her Cat will be directed by Kazuya Sakamoto (episodes of Hyōka and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya), with Naruki Nagakawa (Ergo Proxy) on scripts for the LIDEN FILMS (Terra Formars, The Heroic Legend of Arslan) production. Kana Hanazawa (Gel Sadra in Gatchaman Crowds insight, Charles Dunois in Infinite Stratos) will voice the girl, and Shintarō Asanuma (Takeru in Minami-ke) will voice her cat.
