New Toriyama Manga Joins Viz’s Shonen Jump

As announced in the July 1 issue of Viz’s digital Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama’s new manga, Jaco the Galactic Patrolman, will be joining the mag’s lineup. It all starts in the July 15 Super Issue, which celebrates Jump‘s 45th anniversary with color chapters of One Piece, Naruto, and One-Punch Man.

The series promises a return to Toriyama’s comedic roots with the story of a powerful alien policeman stranded on Earth. Its Japanese debut kicks off a couple days earlier on July 13 in this year’s 33rd issue of Weekly Shonen Jump.
