The sophomore season of Squid Girl officially debuts next week in Japan, and a fresh “Invasion” trailer has risen from the depths to pump everyone’s veins full of jet black ink.

Not familiar with Squid Girl? Thankfully, there’s plenty of time to catch up with the stream of the first season before season two, Shinryaku!? Ika Musume, starts airing on September 26.

In addition to the Crunchyroll stream, Media Blasters will be bringing the first season of Squid Girl to North American DVD on September 27.
