New Valkyria Chronicles Comes to Playstation 4

A new Valkyria Chronicles game is heading to Playstation 4, reports Famitsu.

That’s on top of a HD remaster of the first game, which started the World War II-themed fantasy tactical RPG franchise.

The new game, entitled Valkyria: Azure Revolution in English, launches in winter 2016, while the remaster will come a bit sooner: February 10. A demo for Azure Revolution will come with the remaster, allowing Sega to get some feedback before it releases the final version.

Azure Revolution.

An interview with director Takeshi Ozawa reveals that Azure Revolution will take the form of an RPG, and that the game differs a fair bit from the original. Chief producer Yoichi Shimosato added that the music will be composed by “a famous name.”

A North American release date has not been announced, but the English has been trademarked by Sega, so that’s something.
