Pixiv Holds Attack on Titan Contest

Attack on Titan, man. It’s been a while since I can remember a show being this huge both in Japan and Stateside. And thanks to simultaneous streaming (“simulcasting,” the kids are calling it), it’s popular in both places simultaneously! Viva la revolución!

In celebration (or capitalization), Pixiv, the chief repository for anime-flavored art on the net, is holding an Attack on Titan fanart contest. Entries are split into two categories: “general” and “Original Titan,” in which the artist, y’know, creates an original Titan.

There will be one winner from each category, both of whom will receive a signed print from Attack on Titan artist Hajime Isayama. Sounds like a good deal for fans who were, let’s be honest, probably drawing plenty of Attack on Titan fanart before any incentive came along.

As you might imagine, there are already hundreds of entries, which can be viewed here. Browsing the page might help to give you that Attack on Titan fix until the next episode rolls around.
