PokÃ©mon Still “The Very Best, Like No One Ever Was”

I can’t believe it’s been over a decade since I attempted to catch ’em all on my own, trapped in the sparsely-toned walls of my Gameboy Pocket with nothing but a handful of PokÃ©balls and an embarrassing digital wardrobe. Amazingly, the franchise is still going strong, maybe stronger than ever. It’s no secret that the Diamond and Pearl (cue the New Power Generation) games sold insanely well, but the anime shows no sign of sputtering out anytime soon either.

Adding to that is Viz’s announcement of more PokÃ©mon DVDs slated for release this month from their VizKids label. Included among them are September 16 releases of PokÃ©mon: Battle Frontier Box Set 2, PokÃ©mon Diamond and Pearl Box Sets 1-2, as well as individual volumes of the latter. If you or someone you know still hasn’t caught them all and can’t get enough, now’s your chance.
