Based on the four-panel manga by Bkub Ōkawa, the Pop Team Epic anime officially named its production staff. Leading the charge as series directors are Jun Aoki (Oshiruko – The Summertime Mischief) and Aoi Umeki (staff on City Hunter‘s “Ryō no Propose” short). Aoki will also be in charge of the anime’s scripts, while Umeki handles concept design works.

Beyond that, Pop Team Epic features Kotaro Sudo as planner and producer, Tōru Kanegae as sound director, and Yasumasa Koyama on sound effects for the Kamikaze Douga production.

The Pop Team Epic ridiculousness begins in January 2018.
