Sword Art Online II Anime Activated for 2014

The Sword Art Online EXTRA EDITION special ended with a notice that should excite fans of the virtual world action series. According to the brief tease, a Sword Art Online II anime has been “2014 activated!””

The end of the special featured a cameo from Sinon, a character from massively multiplayer online game Gun Gale Online, which is the focus of the next stretch of Reki Kawahara’s Sword Art Online light novels. The official Sword Art Online website has also been updated with the teaser clip in question and the Phantom Bullet visual pictured below.
