The Ancient Dogoo Girl Returns in the Third Dimension

As if the first series of Noboru Iguchi’s The Ancient Dogoo Girl didn’t look wild enough, a new trailer for series two—which pluralizes the titular Girls—has appeared to knock its predecessor right off the throne. Best of all (depending on who you ask), this one will be packin’ in a little bit of 3D into the TV.

It’s almost a crime that Dogoo Girl isn’t something we can just turn our own television sets on and watch for some late night madness. With talent like Yoshihiro Nishimura (Tokyo Gore Police) and Takashi Shimizu (Ju-on) behind the camera, you know you’re in for a treat.

Now not only is the show looking sharper overall, but some of the expanded cast’s exploits will jump out in 3D. Don’t think it’s any of that fancy schmancy need-a-special-TV 3D, though. We’re talking the good old fashioned red-and-blue style of stereoscopic viewing here.

Looks like a pretty good visual gag according to the trailer below. See for yourself!
