These Yuri on Ice Towels Are Perfect for a Trip to the Hot Spring

As fans of last season’s hit Yuri on Ice are well aware, one of the main settings for the series is the hot springs resort owned by the Katsuki family.

Perhaps that’s why the newest piece of Yuri on Ice merchandise is this set of mini bath towels, perfect for a quick hot spring dip.

The towels are part of a promotion at several Japanese convenience stores called “Ichiban Kuji Yuri!!! on Ice Exhibition” which also includes several keychains based on the series. There are four towels in total, representing Yuri Katsuki, Victor Nikiforov, Yuri Plisetsky and the Yu-topia Akatsuki resort. The towels measure 100cm across.

The whole thing works as a kind of raffle, in which customers pay ¥520 (about $4) and receive one of the items at random, with the towels being rarer than the keychains and charms, natch.

I imagine I’ll be seeing quite a few Yuri fans lining up at convenience stores this February 25, when the promotion begins.
