Utena Director Has a New Anime in the Works

Director Kunihiko Ikuhara—who previously lit up our world with series like Revolutionary Girl Utena, Mawaru Penguindrum, Yurikuma Arashi, and episodes of Sailor Moon—has something new in the oven. While there aren’t currently any details on the project itself, anime studio Mappa (Rage of Bahamut, Yuri!!! on ICE) recently posted a recruitment listing for a new project, listing Ikuhara as director.
