The first episode of the Code Geass: Akito the Exiled OVA series is headed to home video in Japan, with a Blu-ray and DVD release scheduled for January 29. The limited edition version of the Blu-ray will include English subtitles, while the regular edition of both that and the DVD will not, so there’s something for import-savvy fans to look forward to.
The limited Blu-ray also includes a new drama CD, a 24-page booklet about the episode production, an illustrated ED card, trailers, behind the scenes, audio commentary, and sleeve art by character designer Takahiro Kimura. The cover art is drawn by chief animation director Shuichi Shimamura. Check out a recently uploaded trailer for the release below.
The second episode won’t be hitting home video until spring 2013. Anyone plan on importing the OVA when it’s available?
