After 15 Years and 74 Volumes, Bleach Set to End

Bleach, the long-running shonen manga by Tite Kubo, is set to come to an end.

Volume 73 of the manga, released this week, came with the announcement that the next collected volume, 74, will be Bleach’s last. The final volume will ship this fall.

Bleach, the story of high schooler and part-time Soul Reaper Ichigo Kurosaki, began its run in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2001. It inspired a 366-episode anime series which ran from 2004 to 2012, plus multiple films, video games and even musicals.

It was announced in 2012 that Bleach would be entering its final arc.

With the ending of Naruto and now Bleach, Weekly Shonen Jump readers must be asking themselves: just how much longer is One Piece going to run, anyway?
