Miya Kazuki’s Ascendance of a Bookworm light novel series is getting an anime adaptation with Mitsuru Hongo (Outlaw Star) at the helm alongside series composition writer Mariko Kunisawa (Hatsukoi Limited). The official website recently updated with more information that has the show kicking off in Japan this October.
In addition to the premiere details, Ascendance of a Bookworm has Mitsuboshi Colors‘ Michiru composing the soundtrack, with Megumi Nakajima (Macross Frontier‘s Ranka Lee, Bookworm‘s Turi) on ending theme “Kamikazari no Tenshi.” Finally, the latest cast members include Fumiko Orikasa (Bleach‘s Rukia) as Mine’s mother Eva, Tsuyoshi Koyama (Grimoire of Zero‘s Mercenary) as Mine’s father Gunther, and Mutsumi Tamura (Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid‘s Kobayashi) as Mine’s caretaker Lutz.
