Kosuke Hamada’s badminton manga Hanebado! is taking a swing at a TV anime adaptation this July, so it’s time for more cast member announcements. The latest pair of characters to be cast are Kitakamachi High School badminton team advisor Miyako Taroumaru and Uchika Hanesaki, the mother of lead character Ayano Hanesaki.
Mikako Komatsu (Saika in My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU) will voice Miyako, and Sayaka Ohara (Milly in Code Geass) will voice Uchika, who is a 10-time women’s badminton singles champion herself and now teaches classes and mentors pro players.
