Catfish Directors to Helm Live-Action Mega Man Film?

Lots of Mega Man-related news today.

Hollywood Reporter is, well, reporting that Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, the directors of the documentary Catfish, may direct a live-action Mega Man film in pre-production at 20th Century Fox.

Mega, man.

The live-action rights to Mega Man are held by 20th Century Fox and Chernin Entertainment, and the film will be produced by Masi Oka, who starred in Heroes and also produced the upcoming Netflix Death Note.

Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman also directed Paranormal Activity 3 and 4 and Nerve.

Hopefully Mega Man makes a better transition from East to West than he did on the original NES box art…
