China Celebrates Spirited Away Premiere with Amazing Posters

It’s been 18 years since Hayao Miyazaki’s celebrated, award-winning Spirited Away premiered in theaters, but it’s just now making its way to the big screen in China. To celebrate its arrival artist Zao Dao whipped up some posters that you truly have to see for yourself.

Here’s the poster for My Neighbor Totoro, which finally debuted in China back in December:

South China Morning Post cited political tension between China and Japan as the main reason it’s taken so long for Miyazaki’s work to make its way to theaters in the country. Other films planned for release include Castle in the Sky, Princess Mononoke, Howl’s Moving Castle, and The Wind Rises.
