Cross Ange Anime Makes Its Explosive Home Video Debut

Featured Spotlight:

Sunrise’s latest action-packed mecha anime, Cross Ange, is officially making its way to home video, putting the power of the first 12 episodes in your collection.

hits Blu-ray and DVD on June 21, and you won’t want to miss a second of the high-flying battles that ensue.

Angelise Ikaruga Misurugi, first princess of the Misurugi Empire, lived her whole life believing she was just like everyone else. In her world it’s normal to have the power of Mana, while everyone else who doesn’t is simply referred to as a “Norma” and shunned. Angelisa’s world turns upside down when her elder brother Julio exposes her as a Norma, after which she is immediately stripped of her birthright and exiled.

You’d think her story would be over once she was declared an abomination, but that’s not how the girl now known as Ange rolls. She’s no longer an innocent princess, and she’s learned the hidden truth of society. She knows she has to kill to survive, and she has the weapon with which to do it. Now it’s time for Ange to turn this twisted world upside down and right these long-standing wrongs.

Cross Ange was directed by Yoshiharu Ashino (Tweeny Witches, D.Gray-man Hallow), with Tatsuto Higuchi (Schwarzes Marken, Bakumatsu Gijinden Roman) handling series composition for the Sunrise production. As far as mecha epics go, you won’t find any more suitably explosive than Sentai’s release of Cross Ange: Rondo of Angel and Dragon Collection 1.
