Demon Slayer Manga Takes Entire Top 19 of Oricon Sales Charts

demon slayer manga

Another week, another history-making milestone courtesy of Koyoharu Gotoge‘s Demon Slayer manga. This time the series has taken up all of the top 19 spots on the Oricon sales chart, which tracks physical sales of manga. This marks the third week in a row for the series to dominate the top 10, and it’s the first series to hold all top 10 positions for three weeks in a row since the charts started tracking sales in 2008.

In the first week of sales, volume 19—which hit stands in Japan on February 4—sold 1.378 million copies of its estimated 1.5 million unit print run. Total sales since have hit 1.622 million for that volume alone, and naturally this means the manga is still sold out practically everywhere in Japan.

The only other series in the latest top 20 is the new volume of Mitsuru Adachi’s Mix baseball manga, which sits all by itself under the weight of 19 volumes of Demon Slayer in the 20th position.
