Detective Pikachu Trailer Brings Pokémon to the Real World

Against all odds, the very first live-action Pokémon movie is upon us. Despite the fact that we’ve all known about the big screen adaptation of the Detective Pikachu game for a while, it hasn’t felt real until now.

See how they handled Ryan Reynolds as Pikachu and depictions of a bunch of other famous Pokémon in the video below, and let us know what you think so far!

Detective Pikachu also stars Justice Smith as Tim Goodman, Ken Watanabe as Detective Yoshida, and Kathryn Newton as Lucy. It’s set to open in theaters on May 10, 2019.
