Discotek Adds Ghost Stories Anime

Discotek Media’s latest acquisition is another license rescue, with the addition of Ghost Stories to its anime lineup. The distributor plans to release the 2000 anime series in a full collection next year. The set will include both the original Japanese audio and English subtitles, as well as the ridiculous ADV Films dub that has the voice actors going off script.

The 20-episode series—produced by Pierrot (Naruto) and directed by Noriyuki Abe (Flame of Recca, Bleach)—was originally broadcast on Fuji TV in Japan, and was previously licensed in North America by ADV. Here’s one of their previews:
