Dragon Ball Fan Quits Job to Build Record-Breaking Collection

What does it take to hold the record for the largest Dragon Ball merchandise collection? For super fan Hitoshi Uchida, he went so far he actually quit his job to focus on amassing a world record worthy collection of toys, statues, and more.

A not-so-insignificant part of that collection is a whopping 4,000 Gokus. Can you imagine the power held within even a fraction of those figures? Uchida has been a fan of Dragon Ball since he was a kid, and he really wants to meet Masako Nozawa, the legendary voice behind the character.

“By attempting that record, even if I throw my life away, my wish to meet Masako Nozawa is really strong right now,” he said.

All in all, Uchida currently has a collection of 10,098 different pieces of Dragon Ball merchandise, which is more than enough to land him some Guinness World Records accolades. Check out his profile below.
