Patrons of the Evangelion Store recently got the opportunity to take part in a poll that ranked the most popular characters of the series. This celebration of the store’s 13th anniversary did things a little bit differently, though, limiting the options to Eva pilots and breaking down the results on an individual anime film basis.
That means voters had to choose between Shinji, Rei, Asuka, Kaworu, and Mari, which makes it a little simpler for everyone involved. The most interesting aspect, then, comes in the way characters ranked based on their various film appearances. See where your favorite Evangelion characters ended up in each of the three Rebuild flicks along with the respective vote counts for the top three below.

As for Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0, the most recent update we got simply confirmed that production is underway on the long-awaited sequel.
