Evangelion Unit-01, Bullet Train Merge into Seriously Weird Robot

If you’re a follower of strange ancillary Evangelion news (in lieu of much news about the actual fourth Eva film, it’s all we’ve really got), you are probably aware that there is a Eva-themed bullet train that travels between Fukuoka and Osaka.

Now that bullet train, the 500 Type Eva, has been transformed into a pretty weird looking robot figure, which can be yours for just ¥8,000 (about $75).

The figure is called the Shinkalion 500 Type Eva, and just to repeat—yes, this is a fictional robot based on an actual train based on another fictional robot.

The figure, created by Takara Tomy, goes on sale October 5.
