Fate/Grand Order is 2019’s Most Tweeted About Game

We’ve posted a few times about the colossal earnings that have fueled wildly popular mobile game Fate/Grand Order. Back in December, it was revealed that the app topped the charts for consumer spending in mobile games for the year, and now it’s been named the most tweeted about game of 2019.

This comes from Twitter’s own rankings for video game discussions on the platform. 2019 saw a total of 1.2 billion tweets about gaming, which is a 20 percent increase over the previous year. As you may have guessed, the individual title that came out on top of all that discussion was none other than Fate/Grand Order.

Thanks to the platform’s growth in the Asia Pacific region, Japan is now the top country talking about games. Other Japanese games in the top 5 include Final Fantasy, Identity V, and Granblue Fantasy, and there are even more rounding out the top 10.

On the topic of most talked about gaming events, E3 2019 led the charge, but Tokyo Game Show 2019 was right behind it in second place, with FGO Fest coming in fourth. It should be interesting to see how much room Fate/Grand Order has to grow at this point, because it sure doesn’t seem to show any signs of slowing down.
