Everything old is new again, and that’s perfectly fine when a top tier outfit like Studio 4ºC (Tekkon Kinkreet, Mindgame) is behind the revival. Such is the case with Thundercats, and we’ve finally got the first official image to back up some of the pre-hype hype.

Official is the key word, since a different image actually leaked a few days prior. What we have here is a much clearer look at the main cast’s reinterpreted character designs. Sorry, but you’ll have to wait to see what they’ve done with Mumm-Ra.

It’s different, but still familiar enough for long-time fans to get an immediate grip on who’s who. What do you think of the look?
