First Trailer for DanMachi Spinoff Sword Oratoria Unveiled

Is it wrong to make a spinoff of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon??

Not if it looks this cool, it ain’t. Sword Oratoria, the spinoff to the dungeon-crawling series that goes by DanMachi for short, is out in April, and now we’ve got a peak at the animation courtesy a fresh new trailer.

Yen Press, who are releasing the Sword Oratoria light novels under the name Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? On the Side: Sword Oratoria, describe the plot:

Aiz Wallenstein, the Sword Princess, is known as one of the most powerful warriors from one of the most powerful groups in the city of Orario: Loki Familia. With them, she ventures into the deepest parts of the labyrinthine Dungeon beneath the city, stalking the monstrous denizens that lurk there and vanquishing them with the blazing light of her sword. But when she meets a certain white-haired boy, the encounter will change both of them forever…

The anime series, which hits screens in April, is animated at J.C. Staff and is directed by Yohei Suzuki (The “Hentai” Prince and the Stony Cat) with writing by Hideki Shirane, who wrote the original DanMachi anime.

Sword Oratoria stars Saori Onishi as Aiz Wallenstein along with Juri Kimura, Rie Murakawa and Minami Takahashi.
