Funimation Adds The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya Anime Film

Kyoto Animation’s The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya anime film is coming to Blu-ray and DVD courtesy of Funimation. Plans were confirmed via Twitter, and the release date is currently set for the first half of 2017.

The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya originally opened in Japan in 2010, and Bandai Entertainment’s previous North American release followed in 2011. The story kicks off with plans for a Christmas party in the clubroom, and it’s based on Nagaru Tanigawa and Noizi Ito’s fourth volume of the Harui Suzumiya light novel series.
