Studio Trigger’s first theatrical anime film PROMARE is out now in Japan, but what about other regions? GKIDS answered the call for anime fans in North America, securing the theatrical rights and planning screenings in the U.S. with the help of Fathom Events.
Director Hiroyuki Imaishi’s latest work is coming over in the U.S. first in a special nationwide premiere event on September 17 and 19, followed by a theatrical run that kicks off on September 20. In the meantime, check out the latest Japanese trailer below.

Thirty years has passed since the appearance of Burnish, a race of flame-wielding mutant beings, who destroyed half of the world with fire. When a new group of aggressive mutants calling themselves “Mad Burnish” appears, the epic battle between Galo Thymos, a new member of the anti-Burnish rescue team “Burning Rescue,” and Lio Fotia, the leader of “Mad Burnish” begins.
