Hamatora Takes Its Sleuthing to Blu-ray and DVD This Month

Featured Spotlight:

When it comes to detective work, the power-imbued members of Hamatora only take on cases that interest them. Thankfully, the Hamatora anime series finds them faced with just such a case, and

brings it all to Blu-ray and DVD on September 22.

The detective agency known as Hamatora can be found in an otherwise innocent-looking eatery called Nowhere. What seems like a regular Yokohama café is home to Hamatora’s leader Nice and his similarly skilled partners—M.H.s, or Minimum Holders—each of which have their own unique power that makes solving cases that much more of a breeze.

But what happens when serial murders involving Minimum Holders start popping up? Work becomes personal, and this case is one that’s most definitely worthy of Nice’s speed of sound, Murasaki’s super strength, and the rest of the crew’s powers that go well beyond deductive reasoning.

Hamatora started its life as a mixed-media project, with the anime portion helmed by chief director Seiji Kishi (Persona 4: The Animation, Danganronpa The Animation, Humanity Has Declined) and director Hiroshi Kimura (Danchigai, Military!). NAZ handles animation production for the series, and

is one case you won’t want to miss out on.
