The Hero is Overpowered But Overly Cautious Anime Premieres This October

overpowered Just because you’re completely OP doesn’t mean you have to be reckless. That seems to be in line with how the protagonist feels in the Kono Yuusa ga Ore TUEEE Kuse ni Shinchou Sugiru light novels, also known as The Hero is Overpowered But Overly Cautious. The series is written by Light Tuchihi and illustrated by Saori Toyota, and the TV anime adaptation is officially set to air in Japan this October.

As the title suggests, The Hero is Overpowered But Overly Cautious follows a hero whose absurd skills are counterbalanced by his need to overthink and over-plan everything he does. Kadokawa publishes the series in Japan, and Yen Press plans to bring it over to North America in English. Here’s how they describe the story:

The goddess Lista summons a hero who excels in every area to assist her. He’s everything she expected him to be except for one, tiny thing: this anxious hero can’t do anything unless he’s absolutely sure nothing can go wrong!

Masayuki Sakoi directs the adaptation, with Kenta Ihara on series composition/screenplays and Mai Toda on character designs for the WHITE FOX production.
