iDOLM@STER Girls Get a Horror Makeover for Snickers Campaign

idolm@ster

What happens when you mix renowned horror manga author Kazuo Umezu, creator of classics like The Drifting Classroom, with the sugary sweet stars of THE iDOLM@STER? You get a totally ridiculous Japanese Snickers campaign that puts a horrific spin on the idols.

The collaboration has Umezu putting his inimitable touch on the girls of THE iDOLM@STER Million Live! Theatre Days spinoff game. The art showcases the horrors of an empty stomach, but fans can help by buying a Snickers and sending a photo to @sni_rep with the hashtags #アイドルを取り戻せ (“take back the idol”) and the full name of the idol you want to feed and calm down.

Select participants will get thank-you photos and, on some occasions, voiced videos as a reward. New music videos will be locked once enough people have tweeted for each unit’s idols, and the collaboration’s unique costumes will be unlockable in the game.

The campaign is live now along with the official website.
