Japan’s Top Cosplayer Dresses Up as All Five Quintessential Quintuplets

japan's top cosplayer

It’s one thing to create and wear an outfit based on a single character, but how about tackling the tall order of quintuplets? That’s what Japan’s top cosplayer Enako did for the January 22 issue of Weekly Shonen Magazine, in which she used her skills to dress up as all five siblings from Negi Haruba‘s The Quintessential Quintuplets manga.

Enako didn’t just do one set of photos. She posed on the cover as the Nakano sisters—Ichika, Nino, Miku, Yotsuba, and Itsuki—in their wedding dresses, and then went with casual school outfits for an interior shoot.

Enako is known as the biggest cosplayer in Japan for a reason. She’s notoriously difficult to photograph at Comiket—where she makes around 10 million yen (US$91,250)—such that her photoshoots create their own “Enako Ring” around the superstar.

The Quintessential Quintuplets has been running in the pages of Weekly Shonen Magazine since 2017, and the next step for the series is a second season of the anime adaptation.
